Mission Statement

The Bridgeport Independent School District, in partnership with parents and community, will provide an educational environment for ALL students that is conducive to learning. Through a highly qualified staff, with an uncompromising commitment to high student achievement, and a well-developed curriculum, students will receive a quality education empowering them to pursue productive and fulfilling lives in an ever-changing, interdependent world.

Goals

• Improve achievement district-wide with high expectations for academic performance in State-assessed learning standards.
  

• Prepare staff to implement best practices which meet the instructional needs of ALL students.
  

• Provide for all students an excellent educational experience that includes opportunities for enrichment.
  

• Recruit and maintain a highly-qualified staff of professionals and paraprofessionals who are dynamic, knowledgeable, and innovative life-long learners. 
  

• Provide a safe and drug-free environment.
  

• Under the leadership of BISD administrators, teachers will integrate available technological tools throughout the curriculum to maximize the effectiveness of classroom instruction and increase student mastery of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
  

• Improve partnership with parents and community members through open communication, mutual respect, cooperation, and collaboration.
  

• Preparing students for successful post-secondary opportunities including higher education and the workforce.
  

• Provide services to migrant students who are failing or at risk.
