Assistant Superintendent Kurt Kronenberger
Kurt Kronenberger is Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services for Bridgeport ISD and oversees the Facilities, Operations and Human Resources Departments – a position he has had since 2014.
He has had a successful career in education and in the U.S. Military services. His teaching experience includes Industrial Technology, Computer Aided Drafting, Math and Social Studies. As a coach, he has served as a football offensive coordinator, middle school coordinator, head track coach, middle school and high school basketball coach, and middle school strength coordinator.
Prior to being named assistant superintendent, Mr. Kronenberger was at Poolville ISD where he served as High School Principal, Director of Programs and Operations, and Supervisor of Special Programs, Transportation, Maintenance and Food Service.
He started his educational career at Bridgeport ISD in 1993 where he was a teacher and coach for nine years. He then taught and coached at Chico ISD and then served as an assistant principal for Gainesville ISD.
Mr. Kronenberger is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and Texas State Guard Army, and Air Component Commands. He has received numerous military awards including the Organized Marine Corps Reserve Medal, Cold War Recognition Certificate, Outstanding Service Ribbon, Commanding General’s Individual Award and the Texas Homeland Service Medal.
He received the Community Builder Award from the Joplin Masonic Lodge in 2012 for his service to the communities in that area.
Mr. Kronenberger and his wife Peggy, a high school counselor at Paradise ISD, have been married for 31 years, and have two children - both students at the University of North Texas. He has resided in the Wise County area since 1980, and is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport.
