FABULOUS FOSSILS!

The GT students at the Elementary and Intermediate schools have been learning about fossils.  We recently went on a fossil hunt by Lake Bridgeport.  We found lots of fossils and are now working on finding out what they are, what they looked like before, and how old the fossils are.  This has been an interesting study for the students, because these fossils were found locally.  We are going to have an archeologist come in and talk with the classes about what the fossils are and he will also bring in other fossils to show the students.  We look forward to finding out more about the history of our area.
