This is my third year at BIS.  I love teaching 3rd grade in such a warm and exciting environment!  My husband, Damon and I live in Decatur (don’t shoot).

Damon is the youth minister at First United Methodist Church so most of our time is either spent with 3rd grade or youth or planning for one of the two.  When I am not busy with one of these groups, I like to hang out with Damon and Katie (our four-legged baby), read, watch movies, and cook.

7:50-8:05        Prep for the day (Reading or Writing of your choice) 

8:05-8:50        Spelling and Reading with 3B

8:50-9:35        Rotation

9:35-10:30      Reading and Word Work in small groups and individual work time (centers) for 3B

10:30-11:10     Writing with 3B, Switch classes with 3A

11:10-11:40     Lunch

11:40-12:20    Spelling and Reading with 3A

12:20-1:05      Reading and Word Work in small groups and individual work time (centers) for 3A

1:10-1:50         Enrichment Time

1:50-2:35        Writing with 3A

2:35-2:40        Switch back to homeroom

2:40-3:05        Recess

3:05                 Dismissal
