BRANDON PEAVEY, SUPERINTENDENT
Brandon Peavey has served as the superintendent of the Bridgeport Indpendent School District since April of 2017. Mr. Peavey’s previous school leadership roles include serving as superintendent for both Maud ISD and Hardin ISD, as well as the high school principal for both Muenster High School and Collinsville High School. He was a teacher and coach in Keller ISD, Hurst Euless Bedford ISD, and Winder Barrow Schools in Winder, GA.
He received his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Louisiana State University, Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Midwestern State University, and superintendent certification from Angelo State University.
In 2017, he was nominated for and participated in the Lamar University Superintendents Academy, a year long, advanced leadership development program.
In addition to his leadership role in Bridgeport ISD, Mr. Peavey also serves on the Board of Directors for the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce and the Bridgeport Lions Club. Since arriving in Bridgeport ISD, Mr. Peavey has led the district in:
Mr. Peavey prides himself on being visible in the community, whether he is attending athletic, fine arts, or community events. He enjoys supporting BISD students and celebrating their accomplishments.
He has been married to his wife Cindy, who is also an educator, for more than 25 years, and they have two sons, Cooper and Cade. Cooper attends Texas Tech University in Lubbock, and Cade is a 2020 graduate of Bridgeport High School.
