• Here are some answers to common questions.  We are available from 5:30A-5:30P if you have additional questions.

    What law governs what age my child can be dropped off alone at their stop?  There is no law that governs this.  Bridgeport ISD's practice is that all children 2nd Grade and below must have a parent or older sibling escort them to and/or from a stop.  We have this in place to protect your child.  If your child has an IEP, that will determine the age or grade level.

    What if I need a friend to pick up my child at their stop?  You need to call the Transportation Office @ 940-683-5877 to let us know who will be picking up your child.  Have that individual bring a valid form of ID with them.

    What is your Walk-to-Stop Distance Policy?  It is our desire to pick up students as close to their home as possible.  However, this is not always possible.  6th grade students and above may have to walk 1/2 mile, or more, depending on circumstances.
