Alan Powers: Board of Trustee
Alan Powers, who actually has served on the Bridgeport ISD Board of Trustees on two different occasions, is an advocate for student safety and success.
Mr. Powers first served on the Board from 2000 to 2007 and again was elected to Place 3 in 2015. He has served as assistant secretary on the Board.
He consistently attends conferences and meetings to keep informed of the latest educational trends. He has attended seminars for Leadership for Excellence, Budget and finance Training - all offered by the Texas Association of School Boards.
Mr. Powers is a partner with Boyd, Powers and Williamson, a local law firm. He attended Bridgeport ISD schools from kindergarten through high school and graduated from Bridgeport High in 1991.
He received his bachelor's degree in agricultural business from Tarleton State University and his law degree from University of Baylor Law School. He is a member of Grace Fellowship Church.
He and his wife, Jeannine, have four children - Bryce, Beka, Aubrey and Bethany, all students in Bridgeport ISD.
