Martha Bock, BES Principal
Martha Beseau Bock has been principal at Bridgeport Elementary School since 2011. Prior to joining the Bridgeport ISD staff, she was assistant principal for Heritage and Park Glen Elementary schools in Keller ISD. She has also served as an elementary school teacher.
As principal, Mrs. Bock proudly serves the students as campus instructional leader and as the training and staff development supervisor for the BES staff. She diligently works with developing partnerships with city banks, businesses and charities.
During her tenure as principal, Mrs. Bock has implemented several programs designed to enhance instruction to improve student engagement and performance. Some of the measures include:
- Initiating Gomez & Gomez Two-Way Dual Language Program, which was started in 2013 for kindergarteners. It now includes kindergarten, first- and second-grade students.
- Developing Response to Intervention (RtI) for reading and math
- Implementing and training staff on Thinking Maps and Fundamental 5
- Enhancing the school's parent teacher organization
Mrs. Bock is know for providing meaningful staff development so the teachers and staff at BES can continuously provide an enthusiastic and creative learning environment. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University and her master's in Education Leadership from Texas Woman's University.
She gets the community involved in the school while also personally joining numerous organizations, such as Bridgeport Lions Club, Bridgeport FFA Booster Club and others.
