FOR NEW TO BRIDGEPORT ISD TRANSFER STUDENTS

  • Families must request to transfer to Bridgeport ISD from another school district by completing and submitting the Transfer Request Form
  • Once the form has been submitted and reviewed, families will be notified of the decision by mail or email.
  • If your student's transfer is approved, proceed to the New Student Enrollment process.
  • If your student is enrolling for pre-K or kindergarten, be sure to view the Pre-Kindergarten Enrollment and Kindergarten Enrollment page for Roundup information where you learn more about these programs.

Options for Student Transfers

  • Non-Resident Employee Transfer
    • Student is a child of a Bridgeport ISD employee and the employee lives in another district
  • Inter-district Transfer
    • Transfer from another district to Bridgeport ISD

Important Information for Families

Bridgeport ISD welcomes new students who want to be a part of an outstanding, high-quality district. For an out-of-district student to attend Bridgeport ISD, a Transfer Request Form must be filled out and approved

  • Bridgeport ISD reserves the right to accept or deny any out-of-district transfer.
  • Factors that will be considered in granting or denying a transfer include but are not limited to: state-mandated assessment score, grades, attendance, and discipline records in previous districts.
  • Transfers may be denied for any or no reason. Transfer denials are final and are not subject to appeal.
  • Once an application has been submitted, Bridgeport ISD will notify you of the results of your request.
