BHS Senior Raya Grier was recently selected to have her artwork displayed at the txEDCON TASA/TASB Art Exhibition in Houston from Sept. 11-14. The Texas Art Education Association promotes Youth Art Month to showcase the creative talents of Texas young artists, and this is Raya's first year to be selected for this honor.
The exhibition showcased Pre-K through 12th grade works of art from across the state of Texas. Multiple districts were represented at the Texas Association of School Administrators & Texas Association of School Boards Convention.
The level of student and teacher achievement evidenced in this exhibition is a direct reflection of school's leadership and support of the arts. TAEA is proud to be able to provide avenues for children within the state of Texas for exhibition and promote the importance of student art within the community.
