At a special board meeting on Tuesday, June 11, the Bridgeport ISD Board of Trustees approved Tiffany Brubaker as the new principal at Bridgeport Intermediate School. Brubaker joins the Bridgeport ISD family from Decatur ISD, where she has served as the Assistant Principal of Carson Elementary School since 2020.
“BISD is excited to welcome home one of our own as the next principal at BIS,” said Assistant Superintendent P.J. Giamanco. “Through her amazing work in both special education and in school administration, she will provide all students the opportunity for success in Bridgeport in numerous areas.”
Tiffany and her husband Joshua are no stranger to Bridgeport, and have been amazing supporters of the district for ten years. They have had two children graduate from Bridgeport High School and were active participants in BISD’s athletics and agriculture programs. “I’m honored for the opportunity to be the principal at Bridgeport Intermediate School,” said Brubaker. “It feels like I’m coming home! We’ve been a Bridgeport family and I’m excited to serve a community that means so much to me.”
While in leadership in her previous district, Brubaker served as a Campus Testing Coordinator, MTSS, Student Intervention Team Leader, Lead Admission Review and Dismissal/504/LPAC meetings and Created and monitored campus behavior management system. She also Managed and monitored campus attendance/truancy, Oversaw facility maintenance, safety measures, and security policies, Oversaw curriculum materials and resources, and Collaborated with teachers on classroom management, behaviors, and instructional strategies.
Brubaker will officially begin her role at Bridgeport Intermediate School on July 1, 2024.
