Bridgeport ISD is proud to announce the appointment of Mrs. Bonita Jeter as the new Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the 26-27 School Year. Mrs. Jeter, who has most recently served as the Principal of Bridgeport Elementary School, brings a wealth of leadership experience and a deep commitment to educational excellence to this district-wide role.

A Legacy of Leadership and Experience
Mrs. Jeter’s career in education is marked by a broad range of experience across both elementary and secondary levels in various Texas school settings. Her academic credentials include:

• Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University
• Bachelor of Arts in Education from Tarleton State University

This background provides her with a unique perspective on the vertical alignment of student learning and the pedagogical strategies necessary to drive district-wide success.

A Vision for Innovation and Student Growth
In her new capacity, Mrs. Jeter will focus on strengthening curriculum frameworks and supporting teachers to ensure every student in BISD thrives.
