Bridgeport ISD is honored to be recognized by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for our unwavering excellence in music education. Our journey begins at the very start of a student's education, with dedicated, certified music instruction provided to every child from Pre-K through 6th grade.

The Bridgeport Music Education program offers a comprehensive competitive experience designed to foster artistic growth across a diverse range of disciplines. At the high school level, students have the opportunity to participate in Concert, Jazz, and Marching Bands, as well as specialized ensembles like Mariachi and Winter Guard.

Here about our accolades:

The program's success is reflected in its consistent record of "First Division" ratings across all major categories.

  • Over the past two years, the Marching Band has secured top honors and advanced to the Area contest, while the Concert and Jazz ensembles continue to set the standard for regional excellence.
  • Individual achievement is equally robust; this year, 16 students qualified for the State Solo and Ensemble contest, and participation in the Region Band has reached an all-time high.
  •  For Spring 2026, our Winterguard holds a #1 state ranking in their division, heading into championships this month. We invite the community to witness the growth of our program firsthand at the Bridgeport Fine Arts Night on April 30.
