PJ Giamanco Approved as Bridgeport ISD’s New Assistant Superintendent
At the meeting of the Board of Trustees on Monday, May 9, PJ Giamanco was approved as the new Assistant Superintendent of Bridgeport ISD. Giamanco has 24 years of school district experience and joins the Bridgeport ISD team from Carroll ISD, where he currently serves as the Principal of Carroll High School.
“We are excited for the opportunity to hire Mr. Giamanco as our new Assistant Superintendent of Bridgeport ISD,” said Superintendent Dr. Amy Ellis. “He comes to us with a wealth of experience and knowledge of the public school system and will be an excellent addition to the Bridgeport ISD leadership team.”
Through his many years of experience, Giamanco has served as a teacher, a coach and a campus administrator. He has 17 years of experience as a campus administrator, 14 of those years serving as a high school principal. During his time as a campus administrator he was nominated for both the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals of the Year award and the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals Assistant Principal Nominee.
“I am looking forward to joining the Bridgeport ISD team,” said Giamanco. “I am excited to listen to the voices of everyone in the community to help me better support each of our students and staff as we grow together everyday. Thank you to Dr. Ellis and the Board of Trustees for allowing me to lead as Assistant Superintendent.”
Giamanco will officially start his role in Bridgeport ISD on July 5.
