Yesenia McCleskey has been named as the new Curriculum and Instruction Director for Bridgeport ISD. Mrs. McCleskey comes to us from her most recent role in Denton ISD.

Mrs. Yesenia McCleskey is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Texas Woman's University, earning her Bachelor and Masters of Art in Education respectively. She holds certifications as a EC-6 Generalist, Bilingual Generalist and Principal, and is currently pursuing her doctorate at TWU in the area of literacy. Her administrative experience includes working with educators as a Bilingual/ESL Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal.

She knows the academic system from K-12 and will be a welcomed addition to our educational community."

Mrs. McCleskey’s experience includes helping her previous campus go from an Improvement Required status to an ‘A’ rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Mrs. McCleskey brings extensive knowledge in curriculum and instruction to Bridgeport ISD,with experience in closing the achievement gaps through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and effective instructional strategies.
