Hispanic Heritage Month Spotlight: Daniabelle Hromanik
Bridgeport Middle School teacher spotlight for Hispanic Heritage month is Daniabelle Hromanik.
Mrs. Hromanik was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. In high school, she was involved in theater and music, but English was her favorite subject. However, at that time, she did not fully understand how knowing a second language would change her life.
She graduated high school in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States to attend college in Florida. Because of knowing a second language, she's had many doors opened and experienced many blessings. She then graduated college with a Bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University and a Masters degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
She has translated and edited material for Gospel Publishing House in Springfield, Missouri. She has written the Sunday School Curriculum that is still being used in churches in many Spanish speaking countries. She has been married to a wonderful man from Bartlesville, Oklahoma for 22 years. They served as pastors to the Assemblies of God Church in Rhome, Texas for several years before coming to teach at Bridgeport Middle School as the Spanish teacher.
From Mrs. Hromanik's parents and extended family, she has learned to be resilient, determined and hardworking. The hispanic Community is generous, selfless and takes care of each other. In her family there are many teachers and church leaders and who love serving the community where God has placed them. "To me a life of service is the best kind of life," Hromanik said.
Bridgeport Independent School District is thankful to have Mrs. Hromanik on the BMS staff, and is grateful that she is keeping the Hispanic Heritage and Culture alive in our schools today.
