Board Approves New Chief Financial Officer
At the board meeting on Monday, Oct. 17, the Board of Trustees approved Mrs. Sheri Staszewski as the new Chief Financial Officer in Bridgeport ISD. Mrs. Staszewski joins the Bridgeport family from the Newhall School District, which serves a little over 6,000 students and includes 10 campuses.
“We are excited to welcome Mrs. Staszewski to our BISD family,” said Superintendent Dr. Amy Ellis. “She has a heart for serving others while keeping focused on students, staff, and processes through an effective finance department. She will be a great addition to our team.”
Staszewski graduated with her Bachelor’s in Social Science from Chapman University in California and with her Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of California-Riverside. In her professional experience, Staszewski has served as the Chief Financial advisor to the superintendent and Board of Trustees in all aspects of school business. She has managed and performed duties of the business office including purchasing, contracts, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, unaudited actuals and budget. Staszewski will begin her role in Bridgeport ISD in January.
